As the seasons turn, the nights draw in, and the natural cycle of death and rebirth: winter and spring comes around again, I can’t help but look back to warmer times, and with some sadness, to old friends who we will never see again. The photo to the left is of Fiona riding Mollie our wonderful old Shire mare who was so tragically taken before her time by chronic laminitis. This was a beautiful warm spring day, Mollie was fit and forward going, and all was right with the world: Just the way I like to remember her!
